The bareboat deposit chronology processors expect
Processors expect a sequence: condition at pickup, condition at return, itemized damage, timely notice. Berth owns the middle: compare and PDF, not the repair quote.
Typical failure modes
- Pre-existing gelcoat chips never tagged on a signed baseline.
- Return photos with no link to check-in date.
- Damage invoice with no matching zone photos on the receipt.
Onboard baseline with optional renter acknowledgment. Hand back in the same zones. Export PDF header: <em>Compared to check-in [date]</em>. Footer: documentation tools, not survey.
